THE ARCHBISHOP OF MALABO VISITS SALMERÓN RELIGIOUS ART WORKSHOP

Our company is making an altarpiece

for the Cathedral of Bioko (Equatorial Guinea)

Taller de Arte Religioso Salmerón has had the honor of receiving in its facilities the Archbishop of Malabo, Monsignor Juan Nsue Edjang Mayé.

The head of the Archdiocese of the capital of Equatorial Guinea has been in our workshop to see first-hand the work of the new altarpiece - among other commissions - that Taller Salmerón is carrying out for the Cathedral of Santa Isabel de Bioko.

The most illustrious of him-very affable and cordial-of him has verified the evolution of the work with those in charge of the Workshop, David and Óscar Salmerón, as well as with the workers who are carving, decorating, or gilding the altarpiece.

Monsignor Nsue Edjang has toured all the sections of our facilities, admiring the work of goldsmiths, painters, carpenters, carvers, decorators or gilders. He, likewise, has been amazed by the exhibition of our sculptor, Óscar Salmerón, who has shown him the art of Spanish religious carving with impressive sculptures of crucified, Nazarenes, ecce homos.

For Taller de Arte Religioso Salmerón it has been a great pride to receive this man of God who was appointed by Benedict XVI Bishop of Ebediyin in 2011 and appointed Archbishop of Malabo by Pope Francis in 2015.
